Introduction

Corporate Communication (Pty) Ltd is an integrated communication consultancy established in 1983 and based in Gauteng.

Communication is one of the most fundamental of all human interactions and intrinsic to all business relationships, both internal and external.

As a vital management tool, the practice of communication management has been refined to complement and enhance business objectives.

Corporate Communication understands that strategic integrated communication involves principles such as marketing, advertising, public relations and event management. We do not believe in a seat-of-the-pants communication approach, writing and distributing communication material such as media release or newsletters, merely to seek media coverage or to “just” get something out into industry. We believe that without a strategic implementation plan there is a risk of misallocating efforts instead of achieving concrete outcomes.

Laricia Smit
Owner and Managing Director

Management

Laricia Smit is the owner and Managing Director of Corporate Communication. She is a registered Chartered Public Relations Practitioner (CPRP) with PRISA – The Insitute for Public Relations & Communication Management and has 20 years experience in the public relations and communication management industry. During her career she has been responsible for the implementation of strategic integrated marketing communication strategies, various public relations programmes, media relations campaigns as well as planning and implementing various events ranging from international conferences, seminars, workshops and training programmes.

With more than 18 years of lecturing experience, she lectures at various private education providers in the country and has presented event management workshops and seminars internationally. She is a regular facilitator/trainer on programmes presented by Virtuose Ltd based in Quatre Bornes and part of Odysseus Public Relations, Mauritius and approved by the Mauritian Qualifications Authority (MQA).
